Rendering for Sixty Colborne by Freed Developments

So on Friday, we Wilson Sisters attended the Broker Preview for the latest project to be introduced by Freed Developments. The event was held at Scarpetta, at The Thompson Hotel and was much more civilized and way more organized than the last couple we’ve attended. We will, next time though, be sure to arrive early to get a seat for my pregnant self, as I was nearly thrown clear across the room by some guy racing outside to answer his Blackberry.

Freed Developments is known for their innovative projects in the King and Bathurst area (The Thompson, Seventy5 Portland, 20 Stewart, Fashion House) and now they are branching out into new territory. The location of this one is really exciting, across from St James Cathedral and blocks from the St Lawrence Market. This neighborhood is dear to us as we’ve both spent years living there and miss it terribly since having moved. You can’t beat being able to walk to pretty much everything downtown has to offer. Great restaurants, access to the subway, steps to the financial district….it’s the best.

So far we’re excited about this project. The floor plans look pretty great and well laid out, with windows in almost every bedroom. Our only complaint is the middle of the living space pillar in a few of the layouts, but overall, they are extremely well done, and stand out from stuff we’ve seen. The finishes look to be very modern and fresh, which we’ve come to expect from Freed. Far from boring, we are happy to see some exciting design on this project from respected Toronto architect Peter Clewes (Four Seasons, Radio City, 18 Yorkville, X Condos, Mozo and a bunch more).

If you’d like to see the floor plans and prices for this project, drop us an email or give us a call.
